Why study at OCO?
1. Most importantly, these are mentoring programs limited to a small number of participants. These are not programs designed to re-teach you range of motion and basic biomechanics with hundreds of hours of useless material just to fill up your calendar. These are programs for those who already have an understanding of the body and who wish to perfect the art of Osteopathy under the tutelage of a true master. If you are seeking phony titles and massive hours, then these are not the programs for you.
2. COST. The cost of our program is 1299.00 +HST per quantum. When you compare our cost to those of other Canadian programs you will find other program prices that are double or triple ours. How can we keep the cost of our program affordable ? We don't waste our time or yours. Each quantum is packed with information and this program does not drag on endlessly with wasted time and meetings.
3. Our program is not "watered-down Osteopathy." All of our classes are designed by Dr. Steven Sanet, an American Osteopathic physician and world renowned lecturer. Dr. Sanet has been the keynote lecturer of the British Osteopathic Association and has taught in Seoul, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Venice, Rome, London, Helsinki, as well as all across America, just to name a few.
4. We don't leave you lost at the end of a quantum with poor notes or out-of-date material. Each quantum comes complete with an instructional manual containing hundreds of detailed photos, Power Point presentations, and explanations so that you may easily integrate each quantum's knowledge into your own clinical practice.
5. Our program is clinically based. Other programs grant a degree without providing direct clinical patient contact. Our program incorporates four weeks of individual instruction in an Osteopathic clinic.
6. Our program can be completed in 3 years. How can we do this?
We have significant prerequisites to entering our program. Other programs are not selective and therefore spend a significant amount of time re-teaching anatomy, physiology, and more. We don't re-teach you what you already know for the sake of making a longer and more expensive program.
If you are looking for courses with hundreds of techniques taught by non-clinicians and with lay persons as classmates, then this is not the program for you. If you are looking to become a master at treating the human body with a broader perspective than just back pain, neck pain, and headaches, then this program is for you.
